The design respects the restaurant’s long-standing reputation for quality, hospitality and authenticity, preserving the character that has defined Da Bruno for decades. At the same time, the intervention introduces a contemporary architectural language that reflects the future of dinin: refined, confident and forward-looking. Through carefully calibrated materials, spatial clarity and subtle modern gestures, the project reinterprets the spirit of the original establishment, ensuring that its legacy remains intact while positioning Da Bruno for the next chapter of its history.

The scheme focus was the architectural and acoustic design of the new conference hall and new ball room. The key aim was the functional flexibility, as both areas had to be capable of acting as multipurpose facilities, in order to extend Miramare’s range of activities hosted throughout the year.

The project’s highlights are the ballroom’s ability to operate in both the long and short seating setup due to its integrated dynamic stage and the conference hall’s ability to host either large scale conference or two or three simultaneous lecture events without acoustic intrusion between them.

Aspired by the inkling of the abolishment of Drapetsona’s buffer zone -crudely delineated by the main highway- the Microtopias aim at the reinstation of this broken link between people and the natural landscape.

The project is developed on the ex-Fertiliser grounds and it is divulged through a park where nature dominates the existing topography in a self-repsecting manner, while at the same time is driven by the forgotten human imprints decamped from the former use of the land.

This conglomeration of the man made and the fauna and flora environment is proclaimed architecturally within a melodically planed landscape which forms Microtopias on the terra depicted by the vibrant Silo imprint: the Terra Imprint Microtopias.

The proposed park does not merely and scarcely inhabits flora in a random manner, rather it uses colours, savours and memories to divulge the visitors feelings by strategically driving him through the existing and new soil trails.

This study refers to the transformation of the old Averof’s house into a modern cultural space in the city of Larissa.

The main purpose of the project is the creation of a new landmark were people of all ages can come together in a historical place and take part in cultural discussions and events.

The project idea is driven by the renovation of Averof’s house in a non-folkloric way, while respecting the history of the site. However, it must also reflect the future of the city.

To preserve the historical memory of the space and in the same time design a building for the future, it is essential to sustain the shape of the symmetrical buildings and transform the connecting wing. The connecting wing, becomes a lightweight metal structure consisted of triangle panels, which allow adequate natural light within the interior.

EX-MACHINA refers to the creation of a building complex at Neo Faliro to satisfy the housing needs of DEI’s Management and Central Services.

The main focus of this proposal is the creation of a building complex by modern standards, which will upscale the area and give prominence to the existing listed buildings, which once were the supply center of electrical energy for the whole Capital. These buildings were the shell of the “machine”, of the center supplying energy to the capital.

An important part of this project is the creation of a park, which will unify the disaffiliated space with the new buildings, encompassing the historical complex. This unification process, does not only refer to the location of DEI’s headquarters, but also to the surrounding neighborhood.

The until now fenced area opens up, cancelling in a way the limits between the new building complex and the city, upgrading the surrounding area in its wake.

The project’s ambition is the creation of a social landmark for the city of Trikala, which intends to upgrade the public space quality, preserving at the same time the traces of the existing natural and urban landscape.

The proposal included the amalgamation of Iroon Polytechniou square and Ethnikis Antistaseos square through the core natural element of Trikala, the Lithaios River, which acts as the focal point of the design axes, rather than treating the two squares with new materials.

The above is realized by the flux design of the two squares that mirrors the literal and metaphorical fluidity of Lithaios River.

The key element of the communal spaces layout is the raising of the ground between Museum and southern limit of the property, in order to restore, to a partial at least extent, the natural relief existing prior to the erection of the present building. The landscaping design aims at the creation of easily accessible public outdoor spaces offering an unimpeded view towards the sea and the archaeological site, while also enhancing the morphological continuity with the Cultural Coast.

The decision to opt for a partly double-storey and partly single-storey covered parking area makes for final contours that are in gentle relation with the remaining open-air surfaces of the project, and also with the park west of the new west road.

“Green” surfaces – over the covered parking area as well as in the overall external areas – are an important feature of the landscaping design. They will constitute, together with the planting of trees and shrubs, a “green injection” for the whole surrounding Piraeus area, which is significantly degraded in this respect.

The Museum entrance, raised 3,60m from the level of the exhibits, is the crux of the composition. Incoming visitors view the exhibits a little like archaeologists look upon the archaeological finds during excavations. The “journey” of visitors evolves as if moving through an archaeological site.

The “removal” of the central part of the two, above pilotis, floors, achieves disengagement from the form of a conventional office building, lightening the building volume and giving “breathing” height to the particularly low pilotis. The Museum thus acquires its own identity and “opens” its façade to the Cultural Coast.

The new morphology of the Museum’s superstructure also sympolises the relationship of the Ietionian Gates with the renovated building. The reduced height of the total building lightens its imprint on the surrounding area.

The descending ramp from the pilotis to Kanari street and the raised viewing point in the Protection Zone further extend the visibility of the archaeological site. Pedestrians from the neighbouring urban area access the building from Androutsou and Kanari streets and from the new west road, via steps and inclined surfaces terminating at the pilotis. The unimpeded movement, in external areas, of reduced mobility persons is secured through inclined surfaces or ramps with slopes of 6% maximum. The road design proposals include a boarding/drop-off area along Kanari street. This will substantially facilitate access to the Museum, particularly for persons with mobility difficulties.
