Located in Amfissa, this vacation home extension required a light-weight intervention for the erection of the a new storey, due its old existing ground floor with limited remaining static load capabilities.
An additional challenge was to incorporate the new required functions into a modern building envelope that could be manufactured off-site and assembled in-situ, as the plot had restricted accessibility.
The amalgamation of the above was found into the use of crosslam, pre-fabricated panels with integrated thermal insulation that could be joined in a “lego-style” manner.
The scheme included the two key living spaces (spacious living room and bedroom) with an outstanding view of Lidoriki idyllic setting, a kitchen, a WC and an en-suite bathroom.
